I am animating a character for which I created a character key set. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to turn auto-keyframe on so that when I tweak the character it receives new keys, but if I tweak something else—like a light intensity or position of the camera—that does not get keyframed.

I think auto-keyframe is useful, but I constantly keep forgetting that I have it on and only realize it later when I find keyframes on things I did not mean to key.

Is it possible to set auto-keyframe to only work on the selected character set?

Thanks,

Juan Carlos

Are you sure you’ve set your keying method to “Key Character Key Set” and actually set the current “Character Key Set”?
