OK, I have been getting into using this pen tablet.  I picked up a budget one and it really does work fantastic.  I’m surprised to be honest with you.  I also bought Sketchbook Pro 2011.  I really love how you can move the UI around to your liking and what not, and I’m surprised by the functionality.

That said, when I am working on a project, maybe an hour into it and I notice it stops drawing.  But if I draw all the way to the right of the draw area and move my pen to the right, it’ll all of the suddenly start drawing from left to right, starting all the way to the left of my draw area.  So far, the only way to fix this is to restart the program, which kills my work flow a little bit.
And no other programs seem to do it.  I can go for hours on end with CS5, but I really do like this interface a lot better.  Any advice?

I’m sorry if this has been addressed already but I tried searching the forums and I returned no results.

bump

Are these forums dead?  It’s a bit annoying that I purchased this and it has so much potential but I’m crippled by the bugs.

Not dead, just a little quiet at times. Have you tried deleting your prefs file (userPreferences.xml)?

Gotcha, thanks for the answer.  I have not tried that, but I will.  I actually ended up returning my tablet and switching it for a Wacom model.  The company had no customer support and the tablet driver was using 2 Gigs of memory.  Which may explain why the program started chunking up when I got to the 5 layer mark.  So, I’ll try that out and answer back when I get my new tablet, which will be tomorrow.

Thanks

Yeah, support is one of the unsung benefits of having a Wacom tablet. Even if you don’t get a response from Wacom (but you probably will) there are plenty user forums around.

Hey all, haven’t been here in a minute but here is how it’s going.

I got my Wacom tablet and I have been steadily working in Photoshop to design a friends company logo so I haven’t been using sketchbook pro.  But, tonight I was and I have to say, the problem I was having seems to have been driver related because this thing is working flawlessly.  The new table is totally awesome of course, but the program is only enhanced by using this better tablet.  The draw problem seems to have disappeared and I am able to fully love how this program works.
