This problem has been bugging me for goodness know how long now!
First of all what I’ve done is map and set out my uv’s in maya across multiple tiles ready for import into mudbox, then I’v impoted the model with the set tiles yadda yadda now I want to bake displacment/colour/maps etc back into maya onto my low poly model ready to pose etc
My question is how do I import the texture maps back into maya when the tiles come out as separate files, from what I know when you assign a texture in maya you can only use one file at a time im really confused help!!!

save a fbx file and open it in maya… all should be hooked up…

or if you like to do it by hand…
use the script from ash…

Hi Oglu,
I’ve been following your workflow tips on this forum, so wondered if you had any ideas for this ,although it’s not strictly a mudbox question.
I UV’d my model across multiple tiles (5), it’s an insect so has multiple component sets.
I now have my model out of Mudbox and back into Maya with the normal maps set up.
I have finished hooking up all my diffuse spec and reflection maps.

Now I am trying to add Fur to the model and the Maya dialogue tells me that fur will only work in 0-1 UV space.

Have you got any ideas on a workaround so that I can get fur to work without messing up my textures?

cheers for all your help so far.
