Let me start by saying this issue does not present its self on Win-32, but when I move the file over to OSX (10.6) and attempt to click on a nurbs curve, they appear to be selected by bounding box. This means that I can click in the middle of a nurbs circle and it will select the curve, unlike the win-32 behavior in which I must click directly on the curve its self.
This causes serious issues with curves that are inside the bounding space of another curve. If I attempt to select a curve inside another by directly clicking on that curve, maya will select the outside curve, making impossible to select in a camera view.
I have copied my preferences across systems and this did not fix the issue. If anyone can help with this OSX behavior I would greatly appreciate it!

To the moderate who moved this thread:
This is not a modeling question and it’s specific to Maya 2012, 64-bit on OSX. It is a major bug as far as I can tell.
The same file works fine in 32-bit and 64-bit windows, Student or Professional editions, with or without SP2.
