Everything was working fine a few days ago… now I can’t batch render ANYTHING!
Single render works fine.
Deleted all preferences.
Uninstalled Maya, reinstalled maya.
Latest service pack (Sp2)
Craft Director tool not installed/not enabled
Maya batch (mental ray or software) won’t render a new scene of a bouncing ball.
Tried saving the scene into .ma format (didn’t work)
PLEASE anyone have ANYTHING? Deadline!

Not enough info…
Do you get any errors in the script editor?
Can you post your renderlog?

I’m having the same issue… I just upgraded from Maya 2010 to Maya 2012. I can render everything within the viewport fine but when I try to batch render or send a job to Backburner I get....(Render Completed....) almost instantly. I know for sure it didn’t work because this animation will take at least a week to render! I look into the render log and it says that mental ray couldn’t find a license?!?! I render using mental ray inside of Maya fine. I tried to uninstall my copy of Maya 2010 and reinstall 2012. Nada. I can batch render using the software, hardware, and vector renderers in batch but just not mental ray… I am running a network license and cannot obtain an individual one because I’m at a corporation.
I am running windows 7 64bit.
Is this a common issue?

Go into your plug-in manager and set mayatomr.mil to autoload. I had the same problem last year just as I was frantically trying to get my final project done for my class.
