how do i attach geometry to an instance and have all the other instances update? am trying to attach a chair back rest into the already modeled chair

Use Attach in Edit Poly/Mesh.

i tried but the other instances are not updating plus i don’t want to attach it, i just want it inside the group since all other parts are inside a group then i made instances of the chair
