There’s something I’ve always wanted to know but was never really bothered enough by it to put any effort into knowing more about it but today is a curious day.

When I’m working in edit poly, most of the time if I want to select a group of edges or something I just drag the marquee over the edges I want.  Most of the time, any edge that is partially in my marquee gets selected.  Sometimes though its different and I have to enclose the entire edge within the marquee for it to register.  For years now I swap between these two methods every couple days/weeks and I have no idea how I’m doing it or what I’m even looking for when I try to figure it out so I thought I’d ask here.

Thanks gang.

"Window/Crossing” - button is on the main toolbar just left of the Select and Move tool. There’s no shortcut key assigned to it by default.

There’s also an “Auto Window/Crossing” feature on the Customise > Preferences > General (tab).

Sweet! Thank you!

I always wondered what that did.
