You can import image sequences and movies inside Flame.
You can choose to copy the images inside the Flame Library, or you can use Soft-Import to avoid duplication.
The Import Image menu is located inside the Flame Library as well as under the LIBRARY tab.
1. From the Flame Desktop, press on any of the Load button to access the Library.
2. Select the Library where you want to import the new footage from the Clip Library Box (top left corner).
3. Inside the Library, select I/O tab (stands for import/export).
4. Then click on the Import Image menu.
You can import image sequences and movies inside Flame.

You can also create a new Library by selecting New Library from the Clip Library Box list.

1. In the Import menu, select the file type that you want to import, in this case Quicktime.
Note that you can also leave it to Auto for automatic detection.
2. Click on the location path to access the file browser.
3. Navigate to the directory that contains your images.
Note that you can bookmark directories by pressing Bookmark: Add.
4. Choose the file “Trumpet_final.mov” or select your own clips.
Note that image sequences will appear as one clip that you can expand.
Also note that you can also select multiple clips.
You have several import options:
- You can enable the Soft-Import option.
Soft-import is linking to the images location on the system instead of duplicating these images inside the Library.
- You can send the import job to the background by pressing Add to Queue & Execute.
- You can change the Clip Metadata settings if needed.
- You can Resize clips on import.
5. Press Load to load the clips inside the Library.
In this case we use the Soft-Import option.

If you have chosen to import files in the background, Exit Import Image and the clips will be copied to the Library by the background process. To view and manage export jobs in the background, you can swipe the lower-left side of the Export Image module. You can also press "CTRL+0" from any module in Flame.

You can reorganize your material inside the Library if you want:
1. Choose the Move on Drag option.
2. Add a new reel by clicking New Reel.
3. Move the files inside it.
To play the clip:
4. Select it.
5. Press the Player button.
6. Play the clip and Exit the Player.
