Hey everyone,

I've read that the (single user) license of Softimage Foundation enables you to install it on two separate computers. What I'd like to know is what happens when you stop using one of those computers, for example when it breaks or when you buy a better computer that you replace it with. Will it be possible to move the license to the newer computer?

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

Yes, with SLP licensing (http://softimage.wiki.avid.com/index.php/SLP_Licensing) you can move your license to the new computer.

Yes, that's great!

Thanks for the quick response.

Does this (installing on two computers) mean that you can for instance have one installed at home, and the other at work, and use them both?

Yes, the current licensing scheme allows you to activate on up to two computers, as long as you are using only one license at a time.

I have a question regarding moving the license. I just upgraded my main board and I could not remove the license before I did this. I kept getting error messages. When I get the PC back up and running what should I do to transfer the key, assuming it was tied to the old board?
