Well I finally got my copy of XSI Foundation 6.02 today and so far it's working out great. I was running through some of the tutorials on the training DVD and one of them show you how to use MOTOR to load and save animations between different characters. The problem is, there's a MOTOR button but no functions to go with it.
Imagine my horror when I found out that Foundation doesn't include MOTOR. Apparently someone thought if funny to leave to button in there just for kicks. >_>

Anyway is there any other way to use mocap files in Foundation? Or saving character animations for using again later with the same rigg?
Thanks

You can save and load animation clips using the mixer, check the tuts.

As for mocap, I don't know if it's possible, but I think you could contrain your rig to a shadow rig.

Cheers

Thanks Nightwalker I'll give those tuts a try. Maybe I can work something out. After all I still much much to learn.

check http://terrymorgan.net/download.htm the softimage page,
animate a character. You need a 1152x864 screen resolution to
see /tools/motor menu. I've used Motor, but Ogre engine needs
animating in place, this is apparently a big pain in the ass in Softimage.

Anyway, Mod Tool has motor, just go Mode Softimage 'regular'.
