Hello,
I'm ~6 months into XSI - still have lots and lots of areas to learn about. I'm currently interested in learning about Phenomenons, but I don't have time to dig in for complete knowledge. I would rather try to focus on some tasks and take it gradually from there.
We use Dark Tree quit alot here and I see some issues with the the Simbiont node:
The different channels have to be "extracted" by using individual Simbiont nodes - and because of that, if I later want to change the dsts file, I typically need to change it in overly many nodes.
I'm thinking that perhaps I could simplify the process by mixing it all up and create a phenomenon, where I only have a single file input, and can use different channels (color, bump, spec. etc) simultaniously and from same single node.
I don't know anything about writing own stuff, but I would for now like to as if such a task is possible - I'm not too keen about spending days on and end only to conclude that it can't be done, if some hardwore users can tell already how the possibilities are beforehand.
Thanks,
