Well nothing modeled yet, just got my orthographic sketch done, starting modeling now, just wanted to make sure it looked good before I got too far into modeling, I plan on making this semi-low-poly for practice and future use (mostly UV, rigging and animation purposes).

I tweaked the original drawing some, and started modeling, I'm pretty new to organic modeling, so I'd greatly appreciate any critics or feed back.

Hey Zac, I'm curious to see how far you'll manage to take this... I truly like your approach.
My only comment so far is that from the side view, your model looks a bit feminine... you might want to change that! ;)

Keep it up!

Leo.

Another thing you might want to check out is that after smoothing out the geometry, you may need to go back to your rotoscope and rearrange things a bit, since as you know, while smoothing you tend to loose some volume and the geometry shifts a bit as a consequence. Good luck!

I think you're going to have deformation problems b/c you don't have enough geometry. Also, the crotch has 6 edges coming together and that's something you should avoid. 4 is preferable, 5 max. Keep going though, you have a good start.

Whats good about my approach? (just curious I'm new to organic modeling)
Suggestions on the side on how to improve the side view to make it more masculine?
(I might try to take it into zBrush after this)
Thank you.

I'll fix his crotch!
I'll be adding some to the joint areas!
Thanks I will.

BTW whats a good number of edges around the arms and legs should be?
Right now mine are 6...

EDIT, by the way you missed 2 other, 6 edges coming together, still working on the wires.
