Hi:

Please bear with me as I am just starting with XSI. So far I love it!!

I'm having trouble finding information on setting up a background image in the Rotoscopy Options. I have images that I would like to use in Top, Front and Right. I have no trouble adding the images, but I can't figure out how to align them properly with each other so that I can switch views and have my model in the correct position in all views.

My images are all scaled to the same size as source images, but I can't seem to have them all be the same size when I rotoscope them.

Thanks for your help

Hi Tim,

Will try to help you:

Put the grid on in each view (top, front, right). On the grid you will see 2 thicker ligns (one on x and one on y). Align your image with these 2 ligns using the X, Y and Z value in the rotoscopy options (in the "Image Placement" section).

Hope this will help you.

Hi Patrick:

Thanks for the quick reply. Your suggestion is very helpful. I just discovered that my issue was that I had no position options for x,y and z.

Based on your post, I found the information in the on line documentation that indicated that I should set up my reference in the User pane. As soon as I did that, I got the x,y,z alignment boxes in each of the panes for my other reference pics. It's all looking good now!

Thanks
