License Manager chrashes

Hello,

some days ago i downloadet the XSI Version for the CG Challange. After installation i tried to started XSI and XSI tryed to start the License Manager ... but the LM chreshed so i cant start up XSI :-/

(well i know, it´s in german but it`s only this `sending this problem to Microsoft`- Window)

Try reinstalling the License Manager.
You can download a separate SPM installer from softimage.com/downloads.
Just go to the Advanced downloads and get the SPM installer there.

i installed it and retried to start softimage but nothing changed

License Manager crashes often are because of problems with the .NET Framework or Visual C++ runtime.
The SPM installer does install those two things, but you should try installing them separately:


Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86) (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=32BC1BEE-A3F9-4C13-9C99-220B62A191EE&displaylang=en)



In the meantime, I can get you a license without using the License Manager:


Open a command prompt.
Run this command: spm_keyib -c -y -m SOFTIMAGE
Send the request code to support (support@softimage.com).


Then we will see whether XSI runs, or whether the same problem exists for XSI.
