omg some weird crash that wont go away!! plz help

i was messing around with some preferecnes in the veiw tab, i clicked edit layout, this thing pop up called "relational veiw editor toolbar" and i wouldnt go away, so i closed xsi then reoipened it and before xsi had loaded up fully the relational veiw editor toolbar opened again then an error message pops up saying "failed to save scene before system failure"
when you click okay it crashes

so i uninstalled xsi, then reinstalled it, and it still happns, so i reinstalled it again and the same thing, im completely screwed =[
anyone know afix or maybe a way to get rid of all xsi's dll files so if i reinstall it will work =[

I know this bug since version 5. Looks like they doesnt fix it till today.

well could anyone tell me how to completly delete every trace of xsi (including all dlls etc)

yes,
go to c:\users\yourloginname\softimage\yourversion

and delete the application\layout folder

or

delete everything. this will reset your xsi installation (no need for re installation) to a virgin state.

this folder holds all the customiziations you did, including keyboard shortcuts, layouts, custom toolbars etc. so be careful. maybe you want to keep certain stuff!
