Ok i've tested it on 2 systems first system is:
Q6700 Quad 2.66GHz
Win Vista Ult 64bit
8 gigs of memory
nvidia 8800GT
Second system is:
Q6600 Quad 2.4 GHz
Win XP pro 64bit
8 gigs of memory
nvidia 8800GTX
All Updated drivers.
Demos of XSI Adv. 64bit -- Viewport is super laggy in 4 window view and in single window view (any view expanded) movement becomes real jumpy/laggy.
Any ideas?
Any way to adjust memory usage in XSI or rendering display?
Thanks!

Hey!
Are you talking about playback animation or just pan/rotate the camera?
The playback animation in XSI is a know issues that will be hopefully resolved in the next version.
btw, have you tried this (http://softimage.wiki.avid.com/index.php/XSI_Support_Blog#Workaround_for_the_Aero_Glass_sel ection_problem_on_Vista)? Sometimes helps the speed improvement also from what i heard.

Pan/Rotate are my problems and editing edges/point gets sticky too.
Thanks!

no clue, but XSI works great on quadro cards in Vista 64. There is nothing to change in XSI, so you should be looking at the graphic card's opengl settings, for example with regards to multi-monitor, if applicable.

is this happening all the time?
I remember this happening from time to time in my old notebook. It happened when XSI was maximized in the desktop, but a reboot was enough to solve it...
later I discovered that my videocard driver was the wrong version...
in the vista computer, are you using the Aero theme? I just got problems with it :|

I read a post once on XSIbase that I've never been able to find since that might help. nvidia 8800's have issues with xsi also, not just vista. The issue has to do with the antialiasing options in the Nvidia control panel. (I wish I could find the original post, because I think they mentioned either optimised multithreading option or optimised gpu for multiple displays something or other being a slowdown issue as well) Go into the nvidia control panel and turn off the antialiasing options and the viewport interaction in xsi increases greatly. I like to set the control panel to only load those options when xsi is launched so I can still use AA with other programs. I have the 8800 gts ssc. Always makes a difference for me in both xp64 and vista64.
Hope it helps
