Hello,
i was looking for tutorials and rigging and came to the conclusion that i need to have a strong programming and scripting skills to be a professional rigger,i mean all those all extraordinary rigs that we see on demo reel...
i want to know what do you think about this subject.
Best regards.

i think you are right about that. some years back i had the same question in my mind and answered it yes.
now i script my own autorigger and i can only say, it pays off big time!
in xsi you can get with expressions and ocnstrain very very far. but to automate things, build a proper synoptic view, you instantly need to script certain tasks.
luckily there is a very good scripting tutorial from joe (www.3dtutorial.com) available which will get you started!

You can go far with rigging without scripting. I've seen very good riggers who are software users and who I would hate to live without in a production. But at a certain point you will run into problems where conventional tools just don't give you the flexibility you need and where without further understanding of math behind the tools you will be lost. For example a rolling sphere rig.

3Dquakers have a DVD title that steps you through the process of scripting an auto rigger. Well worth checking out.
Cheers
