Although most aspects of XSI 7 can't be talked about due to restrictions
having to do with so-called NDA's, my question concerning the next version of XSI
hopefully can be answered without breaching any NDA:
will there still be a 32-bits version of XSI 7 and will it still run on Windows XP Professional?

Of course. 32bit XP is still out there in large amounts (more then vista), why not

and Linux...Softimage work well in Linux env as 32 or 64 bits...it's seam to be easy to switch to a linux 64 bits then vista !
So XP 32 bits is stable, but the 4 mega memory limit is the only down side.
I also guess XSI 7 still 32 bits.
A linux version of foundation ?

well, first of all, let me say that everything I'm saying is not official, I'm just happy user using xsi and linux and (not happy)windows.
I think that 64 version xsi (7) for linux will not see light of the day so fast. I'm a sceptic but i would like to see all 4 versions come out, or two at a time (win 32+64 and lin 32+64).
I agree with problem xp not supporting 4GBs of RAM but... what can you do, that's the way it is.. (maybe there is some kind of patch or pack for xp to support 4GBs, I'm not sure)
whatever softimage is preparing for us, i hope it will be good, and exciting, because I am :D
