View Full Version : Rendering a skybox?
Is there a feature that would allow me to render 6 file(_up, _dn, _lf, _rt, _ft, _bk) in order to create a complete skybox? I'm wondering how could it be done in XSI. Anyone have an idea?
I know this can be done really easily in 3ds max. http://www.devmaster.net/forums/showpost.php?p=46129&postcount=9

Hi,
have a look here:

Instead of using a sphere, you'll want to use a cube with cubic mapping.
Thank you!
Edit: I cant get it to work properly. It won't render the whole surface, there's just one face that end up rendered. I can't find whats causing this.

here's another link, be it an old one.

The best way to get these images out, is to animate the camera, and set each of the required views to a key frame and then render the short sequence out.
I did have demo scene somewhere, which if I can find, I will try and upload to the site.
