Hi there, in 3dsm theres a function called boolean, where you can have 2 objects (one going through the other) then a function called boolean that will subtract one from the other. so say if i had a cube i could put a cylinder that goes all the way through it, use the boolean function and the cube would be left with a clean whole all the way through. is there a function in xsi that does this or something similar??

thanks

sure it is, i don't have xsi right now but it's there in the modeling toolbar... select both objects (the order of the selection will determine how the operation will take place), hold down ALT and rightclick... and at the bottom of the pop-up menu will be the 3 boolean operation...

Ok, i know about the bevel tool....but, one i remove it, the hole just fills itself again....i know i can then hide the inner object....but, is there a beter way for this ?!

ok....i found that for the change to be permanent you need to FREEZE the scene...than, you have a good, clean hole ;)
