When I hear of a software program for the first time the first place I look is wikipedia, and it's page looks pretty weak...

Yes I already sent it to the support... Keep this kind of information up to date is quite important in my opinion.

Technically, it should be up to you guys, the users and observers, to update this page.
People and companies aren't supposed to create and edit their own page, as per Wikipedia policy.

yes technically it is... But I doubt that Autodesk isn't editing those pages to make M@#(*ya looks like a miracle that saved the world of computer graphics. :P
My english isn't that great but I did edit some of that pages on Cgtalk... I encourage people to do the same.
It's awesome how they put that all softwres have a workable limit of 1 million polygons... I would love to see what happen if I put that I loaded 27 million in XSI :)

IMO it needs
1. Major productions that used XSI and pictures from it
2. In what ways its different and "better" than maya or 3DS
3. A brief history and future stuff...

well I don't think you can describe personal opinions on wikis.
The idea is to show facts, and let the reader be the judge...
wanting or not today you can get the same results in any 3d software... The thing is describe how you get into this or that, and what are the strong points in XSI related to it competitors.
As Luc-Eric said... this is work for "users" but I would love if Softimage was more aggressive to show strong points in XSI.

Well certainly, the historical facts about Softimage might be interesting -- more interesting than the product marketting buzzword list from XSI 5 that's in there now... :D
The German Wiki site (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softimage_XSI) has a bit more information but needs some work too.
