"A Monster in Paris" will be produced with a unique graphic touch, composed of the various styles of the 1910's; Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The character design itself will borrow from the burlesque as well as the art of caricature. The backgrounds will be inspired by theatrical set paintings in which the hand of the artist is in plain view. It is a film of designers, painters and puppet masters, using the 3D tool with subtlety and elegance.
Job Description
- Leads the sets, props and vehicles modeling team inside the Sets department.
- Works closely with the rigging and assembling team.
- Works closely with the design department (2d), Sets and Layout Supervisor and Layout Team Leads.
- Ensures that models meet requirements for assembling together.
- Ensures the technical support of the team.
- Works closely with the R&D team to request useful scripts and developments.
- Reviews show reels and selects the members of his/her team with the production managers.

Requirements
- 3/5 years of modeling experience using XSI (preferred) and/or other 3D commercial modeling packages in a high quality production environment (feature film, commercials)
- experience with modeling optimizations (high and low modeling levels)
- strong knowledges in texturing/shading, to work in accordance with this department (to find texturing or lighting solutions, instead of modeling solutions)
- communication skills, ability to lead a team of modelers
- strong team spirit.
- ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with a tight schedule.
