I was more interested in the overall workflow rather than on a specific part of the project.

I'd love to hear some details on how the ice effect was created. Did you use many layers of displaced, refractive surfaces? How did you go about making the cracking? Thought it all looked fantastic.

i see it...
it`s very very nice work...
i`d like frozen shader...
the ice was simply modeled by me, i started with some basic shapes and then used the poly-reduction tool to make it all faceted, after that i did a lot of manual tweaking etc.
the shader was mostly using the diffraction shader with a lot of optimization to get it to render quicker. The cracking is actually a 2D effect, we shot a lot of reference and used that in Flame.
