In this lesson we will learn about the mental ray architectural material in XSI.
The architectural material is great for simulating many different surface types. With the numerous parameters included in the architectural material, you have much more control over every aspect of the final result. This material even has built-in ambient occlusion.
Topics included in this tutorial:
Using the Material Manager
Plugging the architectural material into a shader
Changing diffuse properties
Facing Reflectivity versus Perpendicular Reflectivity
Various Transparency parametersDirect Link to Tutorial: http://www.digitaltutors.com/digital_tutors/video.php?v=899
