In this lesson we will learn how to add Ease In and Ease Out to an animation in XSI. Easy In and Ease Out are a principle of animation. Ease In and Ease Out are necessary whenever an object starts to move or stops. The beginning of motion has to be slower then the constant speed, because the object has to build up, or Ease In, to the movement.
Ease Out happens at the other end of a movement – when something stops. Halting movement takes just as much energy as starting the movement does, so it can’t be instantaneous. For more life-like motion, add some Ease In and Ease Out to your next animation!
