In this lesson we will learn about XSI’s Info Selection page.
When modeling, especially for games, you should keep track of your mesh’s triangle count. The lower the triangle count, the faster your model will be inside a game engine.
XSI’s Info Selection page displays how many edges, vertices, triangles, quads and n-gons are in your mesh, which lets you track the triangle count without triangulating the mesh. Try to keep your triangle count as low as possible for faster rendering.
