No, it's not dead... Only on severe life support. :o
The type of stuff I've been working on for a while has taken me away from the production floor and XSI. Because I haven't been posting, the site hasn't been evolving much and as a consequence people haven't been submitting articles. Without movement on the site, sharing ideas through the platform has fallen to the wayside in the minds of potential contributors. And I haven't been bugging them.
I continue to keep the site up because I think it still has value for its archived content. And unless some people tell me they would like to hear about hard core Python, networking with Twisted and UIs with Trolltech's QT, I might not be adding much new XSI content for a while still. BTW, is there an audience out there for this stuff?
If some people are interested in submitting content. I'm still there, willing and able to edit articles as well as translate from french if necessary.

Well.... I googled... so you are using
this:
http://www.python.org/
with this:
http://twistedmatrix.com/trac/
and this:
http://trolltech.com/
....to do... something very geeky and way out of my league i supose lol.
I hope the blog revives since its a very interesting place to learn. :)
something about UIs with QT and XSI would be very nice

If there is interest I guess I can cook something up.
I'm putting it on my todo (http://www.rememberthemilk.com) list as we speak!
Patrick... more interesting articles on using Python with XSI (or a production pipeline in general) will always be welcomed, and there will be a captive (albeit small) audience.
Many thanks for keeping the site alive!

I love XSI-Blog for the content that is there - especially the more in-depth stuff. I certainly would be interested in Python scripting in XSI. Python has been on the "stuff to check out" list for so long right now. If there is a cool way to integrate Trolltech Qt stuff with XSI I also would be interested. I've been using Qt for years now (C++, not Python) and bringing XSI and Qt together certainly sounds great ;)

I would have been inclined to post more.. but the articles that work the best are the ones around SDK and TD tips and tricks.

I think the site is good for its content.
Keep it going. I will be posting when I can.
At the moment my time is limited due to a 12 hour work schedule.

Hope to find some time to finish a couple of articles about rendering.
It takes a bit of times to explain something sometimes complicated specially when English isn't your first languages.

I tend to use XSI-Blog a lot and even yesterday I printed out a blog concerning scripting shaders which was excellent.
I'm not a hard-core programmer or TD but the ideas presented in the blog are very innovative and helpful and have always provided me with a fresh perspective on some our pipeline issues.
Please keep up the good work.
I don't have the necessary knowledge or experience to contribute articles but I sure as hell can read them and I assure you I'm one of the avid surfers of XSI-Blog.
