hello!

If you want try to post a wireframe of the model...I think that there is something wrong on the mesh.

Also too much specular, wrong illumination and shader of the puppet and also the enviroment.

:(

Hello David nice work on your project. I'm not an expert in character modeling but just a couple of observations from me.

I like your model and textures they look pretty good. The only thing which strikes me is as mentioned before its a little shiny but possible your are going for a slimy goblin look? Also the render needs a little bit of shadow in the scene as the character seems to float in the scene at the moment and it will help the scene in general as its an outdoor look your after.

with a few tweaks it will be very nice.

Hey David ! quite nice to see your work here my friend :) cool goblin model ;) i would agree about the specular, but you might like to give him a quality of lacquer quality like this on some miniatures.. are you planning on some animation on this guy?? as far as i know, you could animate him really well :)

Hello Guys!

Lately I didn't have time to work again on this character, but I found some free time in the last days to update it.
I just did some changes to the rendering and compositing, and I listened to your advices for that.

Here are the new renders:

Hey David my friend! long time no see :) awesome update on the environment, really organic walls :) as for the goblin dude, how come and you don't put a nice rig in him to try some different more dynamic poses?

p.s are you coming to Greece for vacation this year?? we're waiting for you with Geoath you know hehe!

Hey Nick! Thanks for the critic. This Goblin is just a still image project which main purpose is for me to learn some 3d techniques I didn't know. But I also have some character animation projects.
I can't wait to meet you and geoath, next September, prepare the souvlakis and the beers!!

there are some issues with the muscles, they look very very chiseled.

just wondering did you model this from a concept from a comepnay called jagex as one fo there tests. looks exactly like the one i had to model for a job position.

keep going.

Correct Ximage, this is the goblin for Jagex.
I was interested in the position, so I started working on the test, but for personal reasons, I had to stop working on it, because something more urgent needed to be done. As a result, I couldn't give them the job done before the deadline.
So after a while I re-opened the goblin scene and used it for learning new techniques and improving its look.
I sent to Jagex the finished Goblin about 2 months after the deadline :) They said "good job, but the position is already taken".
So after that, from time to time, I was experimenting things again on this goblin scene.

What about you? It would be interesting to see your version of this goblin.

See you,
David

Sure, here it is.

Was a very quick model, :) hope you like. No textures, didn't do much else to it after I sent it off.
