Hi there! I am not sure if this the right section to post this so if I am on the wrong place admins please move it to the right board..
Anyway I was wondering if there is any possible way to export Quicktime VR in XSI.. Since XSI is doing a great job in Arch.Viz it is very convinient present a VR of an interior to customers..
If anyone knows something about it please do give info!

ive done a bit with VR and the best way ive found is to just render out a series of images and use a flash based pano engine. Flash loaded have a couple of very goos ones for a very reasonable price. Check it out here.

I have the panoviewer pro and can highly recommend it. Ive used it for a couple of projects including a pano VR tour on an aircraft cockpit.
Quicktime VR is also good but i think the flash ones have the edge for flexibility things like hotspots and there a lot more web friendly.
there are some very good free ones for actionscript 3 but you will need to do some coding.

I've had good luck using "Pano2QTVR (http://gardengnomesoftware.com/pano2qtvr.php)". It's a standalone program, but you can just feed it a sequence or set of images.
But my favourite thing to do with it is make QTVR Object movies from a prerendered rotation sequence. Here's a test (http://s3.darkvertex.com/models/gorillabrain_qtvrobj.mov) (6mb) I did with an old model.
XSI can't export directly to QTVR. 3D packages that I know of (cinema 4D and Lightwave) have the option but are very limited. You are better off using a standalone package.

Well I used the panoramic lens shader and it gave me a nice 360 image... But my problem is that I am not setting the camera correct and it gives me a distorted image which makes a hilarious panoramic... Has anybody used the panoramic lens shader in XSI? And if yes what settings did he put to his camera so that it can give you a non distorted result?

To create a "tripod" QTVR, I setup my XSI camera to take 6 images (I forget what the correct order is, so try this, and then re-number accordingly): Front, Back, Top, Bottom, Left, Right. Make sure your camera is set to 90deg, or it'll be distorted.
After that's rendered, try finding a great free program, GoCubic. You select the images, and voila it generates a QTVR.
