I'd be interested in knowing more about where people are on this forum, and I was wondering if you guys felt the same?

I'm sure it would be useful to see what these figures tell us and maybe this can lead to bigger user groups all over the world.

This list or maybe we can start of a poll, could maybe be a base for a map with the XSI Users.

Chicago, and I used XSI way back at the handoff from Softimage to XSI 1.0. It was so buggy that we stayed with Soft, but I just dove into XSI Foundation after 5 years with Max. It's pretty refreshing to see another perspective on 3D software. Here's to hoping I can switch our studio over to XSI if I can get it under my belt quick enough. :shifty:

The industry is good. Most of the people I know are working.

I do wish the XSI footprint was larger though. XSI is gaining ground, but most places are Maya centric. I run a cg dept at a small commercial house and have a mixed maya-xsi pipeline. Finding good maya people is easy, finding good xsi people, not so easy.

It's great to see so many people from around the globe using XSI- it must have one of the most international user bases of any 3D application!

I started using 3D for personal projects and "video art" about five years ago, but now I am a humble freelance designer/illustrator doing mainly contract modeling and rendering for a local design firm.
