Suggestion - Instant email notification.

I notice that you can subscribe to threads in a folder and that there are three options.

1. No email notification.
2. Daily updates by mail.
3. Weekly updates by mail.

Could you add a fourth?

4. Instant email notification.

i second this. its really helping keeping track without much afford on the users side.

Edit: if you look in the user CP you will find that there is a instant message option available. however, i never got a mail from the board so far. and its nothing in the spam folder...

The email problem is giving me the sh*ts.

I think it may have to do with the ISP's themselves. We had a similar problem at CGS where mails coming from a server that did not match the @domain got automatically culled.

I didn't word my suggestion properly. (Sorry, that's my fault)

I want to be able to subscribe to everything in a forum.
Not just individual threads.

For example. If I go into the General Discussions section of the Main Forum, I have an option under Forum Tools called "Subscribe To This Forum." If I click that option I get three choices:

1. No email notification.
2. Daily updates by mail.
3. Weekly updates by mail.

This is where I would like to see if you can add a fourth.

4. Instant email notification.

Now I will get a copy of every post made to that forum in my inbox. I've done this with other forums in the past and it really helps me keep on top of things.

Hope I explained it properly this time. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey guys,

I think we resolved the email problem. Some members are finally getting emails from the forums after we changed the FROM email address to @avid.com instead of @softimage.com.

Please whitelist these domains in your spam settings.
