"Instance master hidden" in visibility property doesn't work with ICE.Is this a bug or known issue?Any workaround?

Hmm, it worked just fine for me when I tried. I posted a scene in the shatter thread that has original objects hidden, and just shows the particles. See if it works for you.

Oh crap, you're right. I thought I tried that.

If you only have to grab the instances once, you could animate the rendering visibility property of the originals. Just set the instance node to use first frame. Using the viewport visibility in same manner seems to slow down simulation quite a bit.

I noted this as well. The instance master checkbox turns all instanced particles off. For now I've just been hiding the geometry inside other objects or behind the camera.
