i did some models in modo,
i save them as Light wave files,
and imported them in to XSI,
but the this is odd, the seems of the model don't work the same way. (the models are Sub-D in the 2 software's at lvl2)
is XSI SubD the models in a different way?
any one got a similar issue?
any ideas?
Thanks guys

hello, yes you have to do something for the conversion...
In fact you need to look how modo subdivide you UV's, if he is subdivided then STOP your work now, the subdivision method is different between the two softwares...
You have to setup the two software in "linear subdivision UV"... if you have already painted your model, try backing it to the same model but with a linear UV and you are good

NNois thanks for the advice,
how can i set those options in XSI?
in modo i know you can change them in the geometry options and just check the "linear UV"
i tought that was for UV mapping hard edges or thing that are not subdividing.

it's on the texture coordinate cluster "Smooth when subdividing"
