un-clonning a clone?

This might be a stupid question but is there a way to un-clone a clone e.g turn i into a unique object?

Hey! If you look under the clones modelling stack you'll see a copyOp. If you freeze this op then the object will no longer be a clone and will no longer have the blue C icon associated with it.

ah.. I tried freezing the entire object (selecting the root) and nothing happend.
