ice particle system as instance

I have not got the chance to mess with ICE yet, however, I am wondering if is possible if an ICE particle system can be used as instanced geometry for another ice particle system?

i dont think it can... the particle system that is instancing the geometry would still just be particles, if you were to pull that into another particle system's graph you would just get the particles and not the individual instanced geometry
