Trial crashing at license request

Hi guys,
I'm having trouble getting the xsi 7 trial to run. At the point of asking for a trial license, it crashes, thus:

Any ideas why? It even does this in safe mode with barely anything else running. Is there anything the license server relies on that I might be missing?

Have you tried again recently?
It might have been a problem on softimage.com.


Try reinstalling the License Server.
Go to softimage.com/downloads, and then go to the downloads page for Advanced.
There is a download link for the SPM License Server.

Just tried that and I'm afraid no luck. Still crashing.

I assume that "that" means you tried reinstalling SPM ?:-)

Try reinstalling .NET (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en):

and maybe the Visual C++ Redistributable (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=32bc1bee-a3f9-4c13-9c99-220b62a191ee&displaylang=en) too.
