I have been using the "Deformation_Push_with_Texture_Map" scene as a starting point to develop a similar scene with a different mesh and also adding a weight map.
I am getting really close but something seems to be messing up when trying to get the color value of the texture map. I even left my scene and just started trying to break down and re-create the effect inside the sample scene. It seems that when I delete the texture property and then try to re-create it the effect breaks. The mesh still deforms but not the same way. As near as I can tell, the projection in the sample file is the default spherical. So, recreating it should put everything back to normal as far as I can tell.
Has anyone tested this concept at all or played with the demo scene? Any tips would be great. Thanks!
