View Full Version : How do i make a capped polygon

In maya i use create polygon tool to make a polygon of any shape then i extrude it and that is it. But how this can be done in xsi, i could not find how.

You could use the add polygon tool, shortcut is n. It's similar to create polygon tool. Then select the face and extrude.

An other option is to create the shape with a curve then use Create>poly mesh>curves to mesh which has extrude options built in as well as some other features. It's a nice tool.

You have a quite a few to do this in XSI.

A quick way is to select the border edges (there's a selection filter for this), duplicate them (Ctrl+D), and then collapse them (Ctrl+Delete).
