2 edge loops or crease value

I noticed in modeling training all models which have sharp edges are created by 2 edge loops Why they didn't use the crease value or bevel or bevel with 2 segments? I also wanna ask. What to better use of these tools? It depends on a model or something?

Maybe because it is easier to control. Most of our modeler do this in day to day basis, spliting edges , tweaking it to create some creased.

What's wrong with the bevel with 2 segments? it gives the same result like 2 edge loops.

I don't know, but as long as the modeler can deliver the geom fast, I'm OK with it.
