Hi there, I'm pretty new here and a bit of a newbie when it comes to XSI. This is my first post so hopefully you guys can help!

I am currently figuring out how to do a good head rig system. I am using two tutorials that use similar methods.

Mike Malinowski (http://www.edharriss.com/tutorials/tutorial_xsi_facial_rig_setup/facial_rig_setup_tutorial.htm)
and
Jon Crow (http://www.joncrow.com/tutorials/xsi_tuts/LAYERED_SHAPE_ANIMATION/face_shape1.htm)

Both of these tutorials utilize curves with clusters with centers to animate the curve and deformer objects. I'd like to know whether using a control spine would work the same way?

Secondly, on the second half of the Jon Crow tutorial, his method is to use the curve set up to make poses and then shape animate the curve. Unfortunately shape animation on the curve doesn't seem to work. I haven't done the curve setup he recommends as it's time consuming instead I'm using control splines, which I don't see why it'd be any different.

Lastly, whatwould be the best way to do eyebrows and eyelashes?

Sorry about the n00bish questions... hope you guys can help!

I know this isn't quite the same way of doing things but it helped me get started, but Manny's dvd is a great starting point for facial rigging, especially cartoony stuff
