Hi,

I have a relatively simple problem; I' wondering if there is a way to easily create "action lines" in a 3d scene? 543I looked up curves and found that they are not renderable, is there a workaround for this ? I can get a similar effect by just extruding a small circle along a curve...I was thinking that I could just composite this, or edit in photoshop, but this is a n animation .

but I suspect that there might be another, better way.

thanks for any help-

U should look for 2D animation softwares instead. Anyway it will give u more freedom and easy redoing then 3D apps.

I had chance work with ToonBoom, and found it very easy to learn and work with.

not sure thats what I'm looking for but thanks for the tip. ToonBoom looks like a bad ass after effects though, gives me ideas...

actually I have a scene that I already have been working on for quite some time but I'm running into difficulty.

+ I want to animate a battery without eyes, mouth, eyebrows, arms, legs, etc.

+ I want at some point for the character (battery) to look like he's concentrating really hard

-One way I thought it might work is to make "vibration"/"action" lines coming off his head .

-I've tried making him shake but that doesn't seem all that discernible (maybe I haven't tried long enough) but it seemed like the lines would be a simple creative solution to the problem.

anyway thanks again

Also,

here's a video of one of the renders I did

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9vUF23cgMhw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9vUF23cgMhw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

thanks,

Well ToonBoom is kind of flash animation software. If u are familiar with classic hand draw animation, u will like it. Anyway I see u want fix just this one effect, so looking / learning new software is out of discussion.
