i've paid my cash and upgraded to essentials, looking forward to things running better on my 64bit vista machine with version 7 but before that i'm confused by what i need to do.
i've been told i need to send a registration code to softimage, which of the gazillion numbers used by this product to register anything is the registration code?
i've got license keys, customer id's on the portal, there's codes and numbers for everything. which one am i supposed to email to XSi

i think i finally found that info under customer portal at the bottom of the update details page. i may not have. i guess the response i get from licensing will determine that one way or another

i haven't received a response from my email yet and it's been the two days mentioned? my store receipt now says order created as opposed to pending so i assume all went well but i'm a bit lost.

The registration code is the 18-character string that you use to activate your Foundation license.

it is an 18 digit number, the autoreply email mentioned i would get a response within 48 hours. i'm willing to accept it was sunday my time
so saturday in xsi time, but it's wednesday night here and i'm still completely in the dark as to how the order has fared, what will happen if it has. etc.
if you know the answer to this question could you please share?
is there a physical shipment?
if so will it be xsi6.5 esentials and dvd for xsi6.5, the dvd for xsi7 or xsi 7 plus dvd at a later date and a download in the meantime. or lastly xsi6.5 shipped now and xsi 7 later?
i'd appreciate it.

I don't know the exact details of the shipment, but I do know you will get a dongle for XSI Essentials 6.5.

I ordered on Sunday and immediately sent my FND license code to the address mentioned in the confirmation email. So far my order has been sitting at "order submitted" stage. I've heard nothing else from them.
The email mentioned 3 business days to ship (which it has been), but they must really be behind. Any idea on how long it's been taking to ship out upgrade offers? Sounds like others are having the same concerns.
And please don't get me wrong. I'm not really upset or anything. Hell, I hope they are super busy and making dollars left and right. I'm just trying to get an idea on the expected wait time as others are.
Thanks,
Frosty

ok, my essentials package took 120 hours to arrive, that's pretty damn impressive. halfway around the world it's been.
though i never got a reply to the email i sent with my registration number, it said i would get one within 48 hours. still i have the software itself now.
however i'm still confused about the xsi7 upgrade. will that be posted out seperately? or be a digital upgrade. and if so the artists guide to xsi7 dvd is one of the things i was most looking forward too. this xsi came with something similar but i was looking forward to seeing how to create the character i saw in the preview. as this is what i'm planning on doing in xsi.
i have no idea what this dvd focus's on creating as it's example

Upgrades are downloads. The Artist Guide will be available for download.
