Hello everyone, well back with another helicopter. This time a Mk3A merlin i did a naval Mk1 version a little while ago now and decided to convert the mesh. But to be honest its about a 70% rebuild on the original I have redone most of the fuselage as i have learned a lot since the original model!! Its a lot cleaner nicer mesh.

I went to Farnborough airshow this week and saw this aircraft being displayed. Not a bad show but not as good as 2006 you could tell the world wide credit crunch has effected the aircraft manufacturers.

Anyway getting there with the outside. Next step the tail ramp.

cheers

Paul

Hey Giant551,

Looking awesome, as usual. ;)

So... did you take many pictures at Farnborough this year? Care to share some with us? :)

Leo.

Ah man, i took no photo's this year, I had a real nightmare of a day to be honest. It was a completely different show than 2006 and not as good if you ask me. I went up on the trade day to do some business, drove 4 hours to get there to get a phone call 1/2 hour from the gate cancelling the meeting:mad:. Then found out once i got in that all the big companies this year where invitation only and had security who wouldn't let me in:mad::mad:. Even Agusta's static display line was pass holders only, poor when you have just spent £28 at the gate.

cheers mate

Sorry to hear that, man... sounds like a bad hair day. Good thing is it's in the past! ;)

hey guys thanks for your posts, well i spent a couple of days on this one remodeling a lot of the original Mk 1 mesh. its a much better model now i think. I will post up a wireframe Monday as ive left the model on my machine at work duh!

Uv and textures won't be bad on this one as the aircraft is mainly green! Its the camo paint schemes which are the pain:)

thanks guys

Paul

just a little bit more done now on this. Got the ramp in now and just tidying up a few bits and pieces. Put a wireframe render in as well.

Awesome indeed. Very nice model - I personally hate modelling fuselage-type models, because of the holes etc, ruining the flow. But you seem to have managed quiet well.
