Not bad - cable bends (where it crosses/overlaps itself) too much.

The reflection from your original looked good. Also, the cable is brighter now - unless you want it this way, I think the darker one looked better.

I may try getting the reflection back in, I broke it up into passes and forgot about it, and yeah I dimmed the cord a bit, but I think it looks better than the original.

This last one is much better in terms of the plastik feel of the part wich comes into the ear.

But for me the shadows are to strong in that last one i would go for a bit softer shadows like in one of the others.

I think it all just come down to preference or the goal of the render when it comes to the shadows, I like both, and know how to archive both, this was more of practice than anything and I'm happy when the result (saves off to my external HDD for maybe future demo reel material)

Absolutely, good job on this! But I have to agree with Firebird on the soft shadows. :)
