i've been prototyping a testing different methods of creating a cavern system for a few weeks now, constantly getting very little done.

i've gotten the techniques for most of the texturing downpat. all textures generated using high res meshes and ambient occlusion

such as this 500 tri mesh rendered down from about 1.6 million using ultimapper.

i'm having issues with seams but i get the feeling there wont be much i can do about that. i'll just have to hide the details behind other models.
