Dear XSI Mod tool community.

I am currently working on a University project involving source SDK and XSI Mod tool.

I have tried exporting my 3DS Max 2008 models into mod tool, which works fine but then when I export it to hammer and try to use in my CSS Source map, the polygons come out deformed.

I am trying to export a Lion that I have modelled in MAX to XSI so I can use it as a prop entity which I can place in a custom CSS map.

Is there something which im doing wrong with the file types or with the plugins that is creating this error for me?

I am using the latest version of 3DS Max 2008 32 Bit. I am using XSI Mod tool 6.

Can I please ask what are the FILE TYPES/FILE FORMATS/RECOMMENDED PLUGINS that I should be using to successfully export a MAX model into XSI which will successfully export into a prop entity in HAMMER that will run in game?

I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks Heaps

Yours

Deformed as in all i see is black and white lines.

I tried some plug ins and now the black and white lines dont occur any more, so i cant get a screen shot, but it either crashes if i try to import a .3ds saying system failed to save before error.

or

it is completely blank when i try to import something i exported as an xsi from 3dsmax 2008

If it is just a model/prop, you could export as an .obj
