Okay, I just re-downloaded XSI Mod Tool, but for one reason or another it freezes in the opening screen and then shutting down completely. Now I learned today that this is a problem with graphics card on this computer.

Now I know that the XSI website has a help section for this problem. The only issue I have with it is that I can't figure out what it is telling me. I tried downloading a driver, but it said that it couldn't find anything compatible with the driver. So now I am at a loss, so can you guys give me any advice?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

What graphics card are you using? :)

My diagnostic search said that my card's name is 'Mobile Intel (R) 945GM Express Chipset Family'. And says that it's type is 'Intel (R) Calistoga Graphics Controller'.

I am not sure how much of that information was helpful/relevant. I honestly don't know much about this part of the computer, I am much more comfortable in Photoshop and such.

Anyhow, thanks for any advice. :)

Ah. I have the same Intel embedded graphics chipset in my DELL Latitude D620. I had a lot of problems with OpenGL apps until I installed the DELL packaging of the Intel 7.14.10.1409 drivers. So I'd suggest you check to see if your computer OEM has updated drivers.

I tried downloading the software required, but it says my system does not meet the minimum requirements for it.

Does anyone know, by chance, where one of the older Mod Tools are? I know that Mod Tool (I believe 4.5) worked fine on this comp...
