Hey guys

I know someone had asked me recently to include embedding for Vimeo videos as they are higher quality than YouTube, so I've added support for it. Vimeo lets you upload and share HD videos -- though to watch it at HD resolution, you will have to click on the "HD" button on the embedded video and it will send you to the Vimeo site. The in-line embedding is not in HD.

To embed Vimeo videos, simply use the code:

your clip id

Example of how it looks:

Great!

That's a bad example of compression for vimeo however.

Yeh yeh pick one that you like then. :)

I checked the HD channel on Vimeo and grabbed the Psyop video. I didn't think the compression was that great either, but it was featured on their website.

BTW. I will add the Vimeo button to the WYSIWYG editor next week when I'm back in the office.

Hehe. Sorry I've been having issues with my internet connection because of storms that just rocked our town.

Hey Gene I fixed your post above. Sorry I think my instructions weren't clear... you only have to put the clip ID down, which is just a number. You had put in the whole HTML flash embed code....

Oh I see.

But whats funny is that now that I see these in embedded here they look a lot more compressed than they do on the vimeo site. It seems that little HD button is more for compression than resolution.

Well, Vimeo doesn't support HD for embedded videos, only on their website. I think it's fine though... it looks much better than a YouTube video. :)
