Paint Mode Viewport Problem

Hi, I'm running XSI Advanced on Vista and every time I attempt to paint a weight map, the viewport background turns white and the geometry takes on a blue squared texture so that I cannot see what I am painting. I've tried turning off the Aero theme on Vista but it doesn't solve the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

You can try a few things:
Different driver version, run xsi in xp sp2 compatibility mode, disable desktop compositing in the same compatibility panel, try an account without admin privileges if you have them or viceversa.
In general vista is currently a pain in the arse when it comes to OGL and drivers, and glitches, while not as frequent as they used to be, are still to be expected.

Hmm, I tried all of those suggestions and I still get the same thing. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and put xp back on my system. Thanks for the help though.
