anyone know how to re-compile maya dll and .mi shaders for xsi?

crtl.studio used to /or said they were going to start supporting SI but something happend on the base and the arguements, and the blood.... it wasnt pretty.

id like to see a few of those shader for xsi [ctrl.multi-displace and geo lights and ctrl fur]

You don't need to recompile any dll, not to mention that to recompile something you need the source, and I don't remember the ctrl shaders being open source, only free.

To use a MRay shader packaged for max or maya all you need is the same dll and convert the descriptor (usually a .mi) to a spdl, which isn't exactly rocket science if you don't mind reading around a bit.

Until a short while ago I thought Francesca was still releasing spdl files too for their shaders.
Have you tried sending her or max a mail to ask?

i just posted on th eforums at mymentalray, ill see what kind of response i get.
i dont want to just spam their emails until i stress out my resources.

i would not mind making spdls for xsi. i
ive never worked with shading much, but like you said its not rocket science.
ill check xsi wiki to see if they mention anything about this.
